I have been a teacher at Geebung Kindy since 2013 and I can honestly say I love coming to work each day.

Everyday at Kindy is different. Our program is determined by the children’s interests, needs and individual abilities. I believe that play based learning allows us to cater to the individual child and allows us to make learning fun.

I have been teaching since 1994 and I have taught various age groups in NSW, the UK and Queensland, however I find teaching Kindy-age children the most exciting and rewarding.

I knew from a very young age I wanted to be a Kindy teacher and I feel honoured to be working with such a fantastic team here at Geebung.

I have been a teacher at Geebung Kindy since 2008. From the moment I called in to Geebung C&K to drop in my resume for relief teaching in 2008 I knew it was my dream to teach at the Kindy.
The staff and environment felt instantly inviting and warm and I was thrilled to become a permanent part of the Geebung team in the weeks to come.
Having my own children I see the impact and the difference to their confidence and desire to learn when they know they are supported, respected and valued within their learning environment.
When children feel safe, secure, valued and listened to they naturally become active and motivated in their learning.
Geebung has given me the opportunity to bring my love of teaching into reality. Being a part of such a warm, collaborative, caring team environment ensures that we as a teaching staff are able to provide a unique supportive learning environment for all children and families.

I have been a teacher at Geebung Kindy since 2018. I love the creativity, curiosity, enthusiasm and imagination that young children bring to their learning. I love learning about each child’s culture, family and their interests and working together with families to build strong relationships.
Geebung Kindy is such a warm and supportive place to work and learn.

I have been an Assistant here at Geebung since 2007. I always knew I wanted to work with Children and Geebung has been the perfect fit for me. I look forward every year to shaping children’s future and contributing to their interest in learning.

At Geebung we have a warm and caring environment and I feel fortunate to be part of such a wonderful team.

Both my children attended Geebung kindergarten & I’ve been a part of the Kindergarten since 2013.

My love for working with children, especially kindy age children, developed in my work as a before and after school assistant. Early childhood education seemed like a natural progression for me, so the opportunity of working with children at Geebung C&K was a fantastic fit.

I believe every child has a unique learning path and it’s a passion of mine to help support the growth and development of each child by giving them the confidence and security to move forward in their next journey.

I have been lucky enough to have worked at Geebung kindergarten since 2021.

This kindergarten holds a special place in my heart. 

I’ve always known I wanted to work alongside children at a young age and to see my dream come true is such a nice feeling. To watch and be engaged with the children to see  them grow, laugh and be inspired through learning and play is truly amazing.

To be able to come to this kindergarten each day to work is wonderful, and to see the children arrive each day with smiles on their faces is beautiful and to know you are apart of their journey and future is amazing. 

Geebung kindergarten is a beautiful calm space and to work alongside an amazing team is just an honour.

I joined Geebung Kindy in July 2021 as a part-time admin assistant and have loved being part of this wonderful community ever since. From helping families navigate enrolments to supporting the day-to-day operations of the kindy, I enjoy being part of the team that helps create a welcoming and nurturing environment for children.

Having previously been involved in a community kindergarten as both an employee and a parent on the committee, I truly value the exceptional experience this setting and our dedicated teachers provide for children. It’s so rewarding to see the friendships, growth, and confidence that develop throughout the kindy year.

My experience at Geebung Kindy originally started in 1998 as the mother of an excited 4-year-old on her first day of Kindy.

As a parent I took on the committee role of Treasurer, and very much enjoyed being able to do my part during my child’s time at the Kindy.

In 1999 I was offered the role of Financial Administrator, and haven’t looked back since.

In 2000, I returned to the Kindy in the role of a mother with my youngest child, and with the utmost confidence in the teachers and the quality of teaching she would receive.

Seventeen years later and I am still enjoying what I do, and being able to play a part in making every parent of an excited four-year-old’s experience as positive as it can be.

I have enjoyed being a supportive part of Geebung Kindy since 2018.  It is so lovely to be a part of a team that works together to create a great Kindy experience for the children and their families. Working here gives me a great sense of belonging and I enjoy contributing to the health and wellbeing of both the children and the staff.

I am a creative at heart and enjoy helping people. I run a small business with my husband and have volunteered at my own children’s schools and clubs. Being a part of something that helps others not just my own family has real meaning for me.

It is so interesting to come and help at Kindy every day and see the wonderful impact that the lovely staff and warm environment has on the children.
